“Why is it so hard to find a bag
that’s sophisticated, lightweight, and truly comfortable to carry?”

Rather than replacing leather with lighter materials, we chose a different path — rethinking every structural element while preserving the integrity of premium leather.

To achieve this, UMUM :
• Adjusts leather thickness with 0.1mm-level precision

• Selects only top-grade cowhide for optimal durability and shape retention

• Optimizes every component — lining, stitching, hardware, and reinforcements — through relentless sampling and testing

Our single-minded goal: “Lighter, more comfortable, more refined.” Every UMUM bag embodies this philosophy through dedicated research and uncompromising craftsmanship.

For the Working Woman

Designer Eumjeong Park, a graduate of FIT New York in Accessories Design, founded UM New York in 2015.

The debut U Collection, inspired by the brand’s signature U symbol, was unveiled at the Bloomingdale’s Trunk Show in NYC, marking the beginning of a house defined by lightness, structure, and the depth of premium leather.

With the opening of the Dosan showroom in Seoul in 2020, the brand came closer to women seeking Effortless Chic.

In 2024, the house introduced its new name, UMUM, establishing itself as a modern luxury brand that lightens and refines the everyday life of the contemporary woman.

Today, UMUM is based in Seoul, Korea,
and continues its journey onto the global stage.
